Alba Muniz, of Warwick (formerly of Miami Beach, FL and New York City) passed away on July 7, 2013 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care, Goshen. She was 91 years old.
Born on January 28, 1922 in Cuba, she was the daughter of the late Maximino and Martina (Batista) Morales.
Before retiring, Alba was an Administrator with the NYC Department of Transportation, Parking Violations Bureau, in the Bronx. She was a very active member of Communications Workers of America Local 1180, served as Shop Steward, and traveled extensively representing the Union. She also loved to travel for pleasure.
She is survived by a daughter, Nydia Feldner and her husband Marty of Warwick; a son, Manuel A. Muniz and his wife Phyllis of Lander, Wyoming; and a granddaughter, Leah Nichole Muniz of El Dorado Hills, CA.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 10th, from 2-4 & 7-8:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 pm. Private cremation.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to a favorite charity.
