Alba 1992 -2004
Once she retired to Miami Beach Florida, Alba went on to work at the Dade County Commissioners Office volunteering on the senior citizen help desk, even after her stroke. On her 80th birthday, Commissioner Barrero honored her and her fellow volunteer.
She made many new friends in Florida and shared their love of the performing arts. They attend the ballet, plays and musicals together. Until her stroke she volunteered as an user at the Jackie Gleason Theater. She loved that job because it got her the best seats in the house and she got to meet the actors before the shows.
