Von was a handyman and painted who enjoyed his work making old things look new again. Born and raised in the Bronx, he had a good street sense about him. Although many times he appeared to be quiet and aloof, he always new what was going on.
Von’s personality was very joyful, he had a heart of gold. He loved the ladies and never had a problem telling them so. No wonder his nickname was “Love”. He had an infectious laugh and you couldn’t help but smile when you were around him. He was a people person and had no problem striking up a conversation with a complete stranger. That conversation would usually end with that stranger sharing a laugh with Von. He had a strong love for his family and would do anything within his power to help when he could.
