Virginia Coyle

Virginia (Ginny) Ann Coyle, a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, at the age of 90 in Orange County, NY.  She was known for her independence, cheerful greeting, kindness and strength. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Born June 13, 1934, she was the daughter of Henry L. and Grace E. (Purdy) Bader Yonkers, New York.  She had three cherished siblings who have predeceased her: Henry “Buddy”, Grace and Mary Jane who played a huge role in her life and her heart.

Virginia is also predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Coyle, whom she married in 1958. Over the course of their marriage, they had five children: Raymond predeceased and his five children: Connor (Amy), Cole (Jackie), Craig (Kellie), Cameron (Caitlyn) and Cierra.  Michael (Elin) and his four children: Grace, William, Julia Rose, and Lorelei. Andrew predeceased (Kimberly) and stepdaughter Cassandra and Noury Rmaida. Joseph; and Virginia (Bill) and their daughter Alison. Additionally, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Virginia was a legal secretary before working at Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, New York in the Security, Human Resources and Labor Relations Departments.  Virginia raised her children in Pearl River, New York, before retiring to New Port Richey, Florida, returning later in life to Warwick, New York. She loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends.  Her dedication to church and volunteer work at the Saint Vincent DePaul Society was a major joy in her life.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Lazear - Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave, Warwick, NY . Interment will be in Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Vincent DePaul Society, Terence Cardinal Cooke Bldg., 1011 First Avenue #607, New York, NY 10022.
