Roy H Falkena of Warwick, New York passed away in Middletown, NY on December 23, 2021. He was 66 years old.

Born in Warwick, New York, on September 1, 1955, he was the son of late Ralph and Florence (Riemersma) Falkena.

 Roy worked in telecommunications as an Inside Switchman for Warwick Valley Telephone for most of his  career. After retirement he worked part time for his son, Eric who owns Apple Valley Construction. He was a youth group counselor, taught Sunday School, loved bowling, golf and hunting. His favorite pastime was constructing, entertaining and playing with his grandchildren at his lake house home in the Adirondack Park in upstate NY - Roy will be fondly remembered as the “slipper man” for on any given evening you would find him knitting slippers for family and friends.

 Roy, is survived by his beloved wife Elsje ( Euser), son Eric M. Falkena, and his wife Debra and their children Aaron, Luke, Jonah and Grant,and son Michael J. Falkena and his fiancée Alison Blount and his children Dean, Dylan and Axel; brothers and sisters Ralph, Robin, Russell, Ronda Liotta, Reed and Rolland. He was Predeceased by his brother Ryan.

A celebration of life will be held on December 27th at the Goshen Reformed Church 2440 State Route 17A Goshen, NY.  Visiting will be from 4-6 pm  and the service will begin at 6 pm, followed by a reception next door at the Goshen Christian Pre-K bldg.
