Joseph Edward Van Stone

a 15-year resident of Warwick (formerly of Brooklyn, died on March 26, 2008 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.  He was 86 years old.

 

Born on January 9, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Albert and Pauline Van Stone.

 He was married to the late Lucy Somma Van Stone, who passed away in 1996.

 

Mr. Van Stone was an International Telegrapher with IT & T, New York City.

 

He is survived by his step-son, Alvin Eubanks and his wife Nancy of Warwick; his step-daughter, Diane Stuart of Staten Island; five step-grandchildren:  Sean Eubanks, Kevin Eubanks, Mark Eubanks, Julia Stuart and Justin Stuart; his brother, Raymond Van Stone and his wife Betty of Buffalo.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 29, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.  Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery.
