of Orange, NJ, passed away on December 7, 2008 in Warwick, NY. She was 84 years old.
Born on September 29, 1924 in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of Matej Lysy and Maria Nad Lysy.
She was married to the late Ludovit Bukovcan.
Mrs. Bukovcan was a Cook with White House Rehabilitation Center in Orange, NJ for 30 years.
A family statement reads: “ She will be missed by all who knew and loved her at the White House Rehabilitation Center and especially by her family.”
She is survived by her son, Milosh Bukovcan and his wife Sherry of Warwick, NY; a daughter, Danka Adamek and her husband John of Orange, NJ; grandchildren: Ivana Adamek and her husband Reggie Costales, Janka Adamek, Samyar Bukovcan and his wife Niky, and Samrad Bukovcan; her sister, Viera Valik and her husband Ladislav of Slovakia. She was the dear aunt of Slavko, Slavka, Bozenka, Milka & Dusan, Ellen, Judy, Vera, Patty, AnnMarie and Lisa and their families. Also survived by sister-in-law’s Anicka Placko and husband Stefan and Vierka LaRusso; Sherry’s siblings, Shohreh with daughters Tina & Leyla, Kambiz with wife Kathy, daughter Lenora with family, and son James; and her dear loving friend, Eliezer Grossman.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 pm on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at West Orange Elks Lodge, 424 Main St., West Orange, NJ 07052.
