Born on March 11, 1920 in New York City, she was the daughter of Thomas Scanlan and Mary Ryan Scanlan.
She was married to the late Michael Houlihan and the late John White.
Mrs. White was a Service Representative with New York Telephone, New York, NY. She was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians of America, and formerly held the position of the Mistress at Arms.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Butler of Warwick; two granddaughters: Margaret Brown of Middletown and Deborah San Pedro and her husband Kenneth of Holbrook; five great-grandchildren: Ross, Ashley, Kenny, Sydney and Lexi.
She was predeceased by a son, John Houlihan, two sisters: Nora Scanlan and Mary Scanlan, and a great-granddaughter, Taylor Brown.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 17th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick . Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Saturday at St. Stephens RC Church. Interment will follow in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ.
