Isabella M. Manno, a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on March 4, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick. She was 97 years old.
Born on October 19, 1916 in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Maria (De Mare) Folino.
She was married to the late Pasquale (Patsy) Manno who passed away in 2003.
A homemaker, Isabella was an active member of St. Stephens RC Church and a member and Past Grand Regent of Court St. Anne Catholic daughters. She was a counselor for the Girl Scouts of America and Jr. Catholic Daughters as well as the “Little Flower Club” for young Catholic girls.
She loved to crochet and made many prayer shawls. Until recently, she always did the word puzzles in the daily newspaper. She especially loved working in her flower garden which was known for its’ beautiful colors in the design of a cross. Many passers-by would stop just to compliment her on her garden if she was sitting on her porch.
She is survived by her daughters: Antoinette White of Warwick, Mary Vasek of LaGrange, Texas, and Patricia Daubert and her husband George of Lake Okeechobee, FL; six grandchildren: Debra, Darren, Karen, James, Robert and Leslie; six great-grandchildren: Gregory, Jake, Dylan, Jenna, Hailey and Travis. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons-in-law: John White and Edward Vasek.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 7th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
