Katherine (Kitty) Woloszczak, a longtime area resident, passed away at home on March 6, 2016. She recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
Born on February 22, 1916 in South River, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Skamay) Streczyk.
She was married to the late John Woloszczak, Sr., who predeceased her in July, 1998.
A family statement reads: “Mom was a loving mother and grandmother and she loved Polish music, especially polkas. The family would like to thank Dr. Mayank Shah for the care he gave to Mom over the years, and would also like to thank Mom’s “Angel” caregiver, Vivienne.”
She is survived by her daughter, Doris Meyer and her husband Robert (Buddy) of Warwick; and her sons: Ray and his wife Rosemarie of Singer Island, FL, and John and his wife Agnes of Warwick; grandchildren: Joey Marguerite (Jolene), Larry Moyer, Cris Woloszak, Amanda Banks, John III, Tammy Fisk, Nicole Stein, and Michael; and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 10th, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick followed by a funeral service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Friday in Warwick Cemetery.
