Elsie (Reyes) Ojeda, of Chester, NY, passed away on October 13, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 70 years old.
Born on December 7, 1947 in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Gerbril and Emma (Rodriguez) Reyes.
She was married to Edgar Ojeda for 46 years.
Elsie was a Dietary Aide at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick. She volunteered with the American Legion Post 214, Warwick.
She is survived by her husband, Edgar of Chester; her son, Eric Sanabria; her four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters Millie Ryes of New Windsor, Yvette Reyes of Binghamton, and Elaine Soto of St. Petersburg, FL; and a brother, Richard Reyes of Clearwater, FL. She will also be missed by her pets Oreo and Sparkie.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 17th, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen.
