
, of Warwick (formerly of Greenwood Lake) passed away at home on January 23, 2011. She was 73 years old.
Born on November 27, 1937 in Long Island City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Bracken) Crichton.
She was married to Edward Ruczay.
Mrs. Ruczay was an Executive Assistant with Avon Products, New York City. Maureen was a volunteer at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital. She was an avid reader and a member of the Warwick Valley library, including the Library Scrabble Group and was a killer Scrabble player. Maureen also was a member of the Warwick Valley Quilt Guild in which she was the Treasurer/Financial Director of the Warwick Valley Quilt Show, and she worked yearly at the Apple Fest and was a devoted patron and benefactor of Lycian Center of Performing Arts.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Ruczay of Warwick; a step-daughter, Valerie Ruczay of Oregon; a step-son, Robert Ruczay of Delaware. She was predeceased by a step-grandson, Brandon Chike, and three sisters, Joan Archer, Arlene Kopor and Patricia Consandine.
