Frances Batz, of Warwick, entered into rest with the Lord on November 22, 2013. She was 70 years old.
Born on December 28, 1942 in Sharon, CT., she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Conditto) Lagana.
She was the loving wife of M. John Batz, Sr. for 48 years; the Mother, Advisor and Spiritual Leader to Michael Batz, Jr. and his wife Marie, and Michelle Hart and companion Daniel Hauser; Grandmother of Carrie Graf and husband Peter, Michael “Johnnie” Batz III and wife Emma, Alexander Batz, Chelsea Hart and Matthew Hart; Great-Grandmother of Andrew Graf; dear Sister of Mary Carr and her husband Richard.
She devoted her life and after life to medical research to find the cure for Scleroderma. Fran was past Chapter President of the Tri-State Chapter of Scleroderma Foundation, past President of the Orange County Grand Jurors Association, past member of the Warwick Ambulance Corps, and devoted member of St. Stephens Church.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the ICU staff at St. Anthony’s Hospital, the Clergy at St. Stephens Church, and to her friends and family who helped her through her illness
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 29, 2013, at St. Stephens Church, Warwick, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery..
