Edith Irene Leatham, of Chester, passed away on August 19, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown. She was 98 years old.
Born on October 8, 1914 in Chester, New York, she was the daughter of the late James and Pearl (Van Gelder) Lawrence.
She was married to the late George Leatham.
A homemaker, Edith was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Chester.
She is survived by her sons: James Leatham of Chester, and George Lawrence Leatham of Big Springs, Texas; her grandchildren: Sydney Leatham and Taylor Leatham; and three great-grandchildren: Providence, Chicago and Boston.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 23rd, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be on Saturday 10:00 am at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
