Carmela Vullo

Carmela Vullo, of West Milford, NJ, passed away on November 1, 2012 at Van Dyk at Bald Eagle Commons.  She was 72 years old.

Born on October 17, 1940 in West New York, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Margaret (Sinisi) Napolitano.

She was married to the late Samuel Vullo (2005) and was the former wife of Michael George Salvino.

Carmela was a Recreation Director of Ocean Convalscent Center, in Lakewood, NJ. 

A family statement reads:  “Our mother will always be remembered as being the life of the party.  She could make friends so easily.  She made everyone laugh and smile.  She loved her family and all her friends.  But, her girls meant the world to her.  WE were all her favorites!  We will miss her dearly.   God has blessed us and we thank God for our Mother.”

She is survived by her daughters:  Margaret Povitch and her husband Rich of New Port Richey, FL, Frances Gindlesperger and her husband David of New Egypt, NJ, Michele Chisholm and her husband Daniel of Warwick, NY, Laura Catli and her husband Derin of Vernon, NJ, and Lisa Salvino of New Port Richey, FL; thirteen grandchildren:  Michele, Debra, Nicole, Jessica, Danelle, Jeniffer, Anthony, Martin, Christina, Stephanie, Dayna, Michael and Colin,; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosetta Oppelt of Whiting, NJ; a brother, James Napolitano of Toms River, NJ.

Memorial visitation will be on Monday, November 5th, from 2:00-4:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m.
