passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2010, while at work at the FDNY 7th Division in the Fordham section of the Bronx. He was 40 years old.
Born on November 27, 1969 in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Richard and Naomi (Twersky) Valentino.
A Fireman with the New York City Fire Department, he was a member of the FDNY Emerald Society, and attended St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.
Gary was a kind, giving person who touched the hearts of many.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Valentino, of Montgomery; a sister, Suzanne Jones and her husband Douglas of Chester; three brothers: Michael Valentino and his wife Patricia of Warwick, Jonathan Valentino and his wife Lauren of Chester, and Richard Valentino and his wife Danielle of Warwick; his companion, Gina McNeill and her children Christian and Cheyenne; dear cousins, Naomi Kinsler, Guy Valentino, and Carolann Valentino; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, from 2:00pm – 9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 1st, at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
