Salvatore Coladonato

entered into rest surrounded by his family at his home on September 1, 2006. He was 81 years old.

 

Born on September 23, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York,  he was the son of the late Salvatore and Maria Lorio Coladonato.

 

He was married to Mary Rossano Coladonato.

 

An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America and a member of VFW Post 4662, Warwick.  

 

Survivors include his wife, Mary of Warwick; two sons:  John Coladonato and his wife Deborah of Warwick and Salvatore Coladonato of Vernon, NJ; four grandchildren:  Amelia Ferruggia of Cedar Grove, NJ, Jaclyn Coladonato of Glenwood, NJ, John Coladonato II of Warwick, and Vincent Coladonato of Vernon, NJ; great-grandchild, Sal Ferruggia of Cedar Grove, NJ; sister, Giani Grimaldi of Staten Island; three brothers:  Totonno Coladonato of Strasburg, PA, Guiseppi Coladonato of Brooklyn, and Eugene Coladonato of Valley Stream.  He was predeceased by a sister, Fortunato, two brothers, Vincenzo and Gaetano and a grandson, Salvatore. 

 

Visitation will be on Monday, September 4th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  VFW Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am on Tuesday at St. Stephens RC Church.  Interment will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen.

 

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Orange County, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
