The family of Catharine G. Heimbach announce her passing on October 24, 2026. She was 84 years old. Born in Rahway, NJ, on July 15, 1942, she was the daughter of Dr. George Miller and Julia Ryan Miller.
Cathie raised a strong family in Middletown, NY, then moved to Warwick, NY in 1998. She loved all animals, read voraciously, and treated everyone with kindness. Recognized for her dedicated volunteer work with her service and therapy dogs, most recently Coalby, at the Warwick Area Farmworker Organization and Albert Wisner Public Library’s Read to the Dogs program. She was active with the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Louis Heimbach; sons David, and Jonathan and his wife Dana, and loving dogs Coalby and Ollie. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Matt Miller and sister Jane Dowling. She is also survived by her many friends.
