Paula S. Nugent, of Hamburg, a ten year resident of Hamburg, NJ (formerly of Warwick, NY), passed away on March 5, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center. She was 69 years old.
Born on February 24, 1947 in Port Jefferson, NY, she grew up on Long Island. She was the daughter of the late John and Susanna (Mike) Solovey.
She was married to the late John R. “Jack” Nugent (2006).
Paula was a Clerk with Weiss Market in Franklin, NJ.
A family statement reads: “She loved her four grandchildren, and she enjoyed playing golf with Jack, going to the beach, boating, and shopping.”
She is survived by her two daughters: Brenda Meier and her husband Kurt of Hamburg, NJ, and Sharon Garcia and her husband Bill of Warwick, NY; her four grandchildren: Rocco, Nicky, Jake and Olivia. She was predeceased by a sister, Christine Rasch.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
