Harriet Elsa Anderson Jungermann, a five-year resident of Warwick (formerly a 50-year resident of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ), passed away on February 20, 2010, in the arms of her family in Warwick. She was 85 years old.
Born on the fifth of July 1924, she was the daughter of the late Captain Harry Carl Anderson and Elsa von Harten Anderson of Woodridge, NJ.
She was married to the late William Henry Jungermann (2006) for 58 years.
A homemaker, she was a very active member and Sunday School teacher at Holy Lutheran Church in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and more recently attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Warwick.
An avid artist and valedictorian of Woodridge High School, class of 1942, Harriet Elsa was an inspiration to all throughout her entire life. A true Vermonter at heart, Harriet enjoyed nature, music, and spending time with her family and friends. Now laid to rest, she will be truly missed and forever loved by all.
She is survived by her daughter, BetsyAn Bowes and her husband Jim of Warwick; a son, Keith Jungermann and his wife Kathy of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ; a granddaughter, Rebecca Anderson Bowes of Warwick; a grandson, Matthew Jungermann of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ.
Visitation will be on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 95 Kings Highway, Warwick. A funeral service will follow at 1:15 pm. Interment will take place in Vermont at a later date.
