Sarah Belle Harper Grimm, of Pine Island, NY, formerly of Uniontown, Pa, passed away on November 12, 2016 at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick, NY. She was 100 years old.
Born on March 14, 1916 in Monarch, PA, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Elizabeth (Nelson) Harper.
She was married to her beloved late husband, Clarence H. Grimm (2007) for almost 72 years.
She is survived by her children: Marjorie Humphrey of Houston, PA, Harold Grimm and his wife Patricia of New Oxford, PA, Virginia Prouty and her husband George of Pine Island, NY, and Richard Grimm and his wife Lesley of Oakland, NJ. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Debra (Jeff) John, Harry Humphrey III, Karolyn (TJ) Jenkins, Sharon (Stacey) Grimm, Anissa (David) Giarla, Hollie Papke, Ashlea (Kurt) Prouty, Shannon (Carl) Decker, Renee (Scott) Axtell and Neil (Heather) Grimm. Her thirteen great-grandchildren: Jeremy, Kristy, Brittany, Laura, David, Nicole, Michael, Julianna, Sarah, Jaymes, Madalyn, Tristan and Keith. She is also survived by her dear sister, Betty Casterwiler, of Dunbar, Pa. and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband: Clarence, her brothers: Samuel, William, Charles and Harry Harper, two son-in-laws: Harry Humphrey, Jr. and Richard Flanigan, and one granddaughter, Dana Humphrey.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 to 11:30 am on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Skirpan Funeral Home Inc, 680 Cherry Tree Lane, Uniontown, Pa. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11:30. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, 132 Twin Hills Road, Brier Hill, Pa.
