Obituary for Sunday, August 15, 2010

 

Marjorie A. “Grammy” Masker, of Warwick, passed away on August 14, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital.  She was 80 years old.

 

Born on June 24, 1930 in Warwick and a lifelong resident of Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Rose Marlin Faulls.

 

She was married to the late Milton C. Masker (2003).

 

Mrs. Masker was a Cafeteria Worker with the Warwick Valley School system, was a member of the Pine Island Senior Citizens, and a member of St. Stephen’s RC Church.

 

A family statement reads:  “Grammy was a loving, fun and spirited mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who will live in our hearts forever.”

 

She is survived by her son, Greg Masker and his wife Dorinda of Warwick;  grandsons:  Jameson Masker and his wife Natalie, of Harriman and Brandon Masker and his companion Tricia, of Warwick; great-grandchildren:  Tristan, Juliana and Brynn; a foster son, Jose Colon of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Rosemarie Masker and her husband Pete, of Warwick; sister-in-laws: Gwen Holodinski, of Warwick, Estella Youngman and her husband Ken, of Warwick and Phyllis Miller and her husband Bruce, of Warwick; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  She was predeceased by her brothers Roy Faulls and John Faulls, and a sister, Minnie Preston.

 

Memorial visitation will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, from 11:00am-12:30 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 pm.  Private interment.

 

Memorial donations may be made to St. Stephens RC Church, 75 Sanfordville Rd., Warwick, NY 10990 or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
