Elaine Walters Griffin

of Warwick (formerly of the Bronx), died on November 6, 2007 at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Warwick.  She was 63 years old.

                       

Born on October 21, 1944 in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Jennie Wilborne Walters.

 

She was the wife of Clarence Griffin.

 

Mrs. Griffin was a Program Administrator with City University, Dept, of Higher Education, in NYC.  She was a member of UAME Church, Warwick.

 

She is survived by her husband, Clarence Griffin, of Warwick; a daughter, Carol Johnson, of the Bronx; a granddaughter, Tylah Johnson;  two sisters:  Geneva Jones of Atlanta, GA and Lucille Walker, of Newburgh;  two brothers:  Jerome Walters and Ernest Walters, both of Bronx, NY.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 10th, from 10:00-11:30 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.  Funeral service will follow at 11:30 am.  Interment will be in Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
