a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on January 27, 2011 at home. He was 66 years old.
Born on June 16, 1944, he was the son of the late Albert and Hazel (Weymer) Miller.
He was married to the late Beverly Rae (Kamarad) Miller.
Craig graduated from Warwick Valley High School, where he played football and baseball. He then graduated from Texas Christian University. An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he was proud to have served in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. During his service, he received the Purple Heart. He was a self employed carpenter in the Warwick area.
A family statement reads” Craig was a devoted husband, loving poppy to his wife’s grandchildren, and a loyal friend to many. He loved traveling the world with his wife.”
He is survived by his step-daughter, Kimberly Hybbeneth; a niece, Cortney Sciurba; two nephews, Brad Sargent and Colin Sargent. He was predeceased by his sister Janis Sargent
Calling hours will be on Monday, February 7th, from 7:00-9:00pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Committal service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday at Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
