of Chelsea, Michigan (formerly Warwick, NY and Cresskill, NJ) died on January 29, 2008. He was 89 years old.
Born on August 10, 1918 in Warwick, he was the son of the late Frank J. Hotaling and Addie Hulse Hotaling.
He was married to the late Roma Hunt Hotaling (January 29, 2000).
Mr. Hotaling graduated from Warwick HS in 1935 and attended Pace College. During World War II, he was a B-29 Gunnery Officer and a Navigator in the Army Air Force. Before retiring in 1980, he had been Borough Clerk of Cresskill, NJ for 25 years and was the former President of Bergen County Municipal Clerks Association. He was a member of Old North Reformed Church in Dumont, Camp Merritt Post 21, American Legion, and Disabled American Veterans. He was a former member of the National Railway Historical Society, Salvation Army Unit and Tenakill Kiwanis Club. He was also an honorary Cresskill firefighter and Grand Marshall of a Memorial Day Parade.
He was the loving father of Robert W. Hotaling and his wife, Dr. Paula Bartolini of Ann Arbor, MI and dear grandfather of Soon, Jae and his wife Ana; great-grandfather of Michael, Nicholas, Jaeson, and Bryce.
Graveside services will be held at Warwick Cemetery Saturday February 9th 2008 at 10:00 am.
