
Bruce Edward Hallowell, of Warwick, passed away suddenly on October 11, 2015. He was 59 years old.
Born on August 18, 1956 in Teaneck, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Frank W. Hallowell and Carolyn A.( Koch) Hallowell.
Bruce was married to Barbara J. (McCabe) Hallowell.
A family statement reads: “Bruce was known and loved by many. His love of life and adventure will never be forgotten. Always outside fixing and building things – that’s where you would find him.”
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Warwick; his children: Kristy Lynn Hallowell and husband Milton of Warwick, Patrick Hallowell and wife Rachel of Warwick, and Connor B. Hallowell (Tank) of Warwick; his grandchildren: Mason Mann, Zachary Mann, Gavin Hallowell, and Logan Hallowell. He is also survived by siblings: Burt J. Hallowell of Seattle, WA, Mary Ellen Burritt and husband John of NH, Christine A. Hallowell of Morris Plains, NJ, and Brian Hallowell and wife Jean of Montvale, NJ; his mother-in-law, Catherine McCabe; brother-in-law Matthew McCabe; sister-in-law Patricia Free and husband Richard; sister-in-law Jean Oates and husband Jimmy; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 14th, from 6:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at the Mulder Chapel, Hoyt Road, Warwick. Cremation will be private.
