Casameno J. Polizze, of Warwick (formerly of Astoria, Queens) passed away onJune 5, 2014 at home. He was 84 years old.
Born on December 3, 1929 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Anthony and Josephine Polizzi.
Casameno was married to the late Frances (Marasa) Polizze (2013).
An Army veteran of the Korean War, he was a Purchasing Agent with Morgan Guaranty Trust Company of New York before retiring. He was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.
He is survived by his daughter, Jo-Ellen Gambino and her husband Frank of Warwick; his grandchildren: Frank, Michael and his wife Theresa, Diane & her husband Joe Rotondo, Noelle and her husband Angelo Marino, Joseph, Justin, & Nicholas: his great-grandchildren: Angelo and Giuseppe; a son-in-law Joseph Alaimo; and a sister Virginia Holmquist of Clearwater, FL. He was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Alaimo.
Visitation will be on Sunday, June 8th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Orange County Veterans Cemetery.
