Johanna M. Hessenius of Warwick, NY (formerly of Ridgewood, Queens) passed away after a brief illness at St. Anthony Community Hospital on November 30, 2021. She was 92 years old.

Born in Leer, Germany on September 21, 1929, she was the daughter of Heinrich and Johanna Brauer.

Johanna is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Theodor; daughter Joanna Barbuto and her husband John all of Warwick, NY; two grandchildren: Jamie Fragale and her husband Russ of Pine Island, NY and Jillian Pregiato and her husband Dan of Florida, NY; three great-grandchildren: Anna, James and Theo; and many, many nieces and nephews.

Per Johanna’s wishes, cremation was private.
