Bridget Bernadette Gray of Warwick, NY, formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021. She was 87 years old.
Born June 26, 1934, in Dublin, Ireland, she was the daughter of Thomas Larkin and Margaret Larkin (nee Toman).
She was a loving wife to her husband Frank and devoted mother to their 5 children. Bernadette was a member of St. John the Baptist Church of Hillsdale, for well over 50 years. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Rosary Society and was involved in countless church and community related activities. A resident of Warwick for the past 4 years, Bernadette became a member of the St. Stephen’s Church and attended Mass every week that her health permitted. She had a wonderful sense of humor that she maintained all throughout her illness.
She is survived by her children, Francis Gray of Westwood, NJ, Bernadette Smith of Amherst, Ohio, Robert Gray, and Maggie Cann of Warwick, NY; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Francis Gray, daughter Kathleen Haroldson, and siblings, Thomas Larkin, James Larkin and Marguerite Carrano.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church 69 Valley St. Hillsdale, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 29th following the visitation at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Interment in Westwood Cemetery will follow the Mass.
