Stephen C. Hoogstra passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home in Harriman, NY with his loving partner of 17 years by his side. He was 61 years old.

The son of the late John Hoogstra and Jeanne (nee Mitchell) Hoogstra, he was born on July 21, 1960 in Suffern, NY.

Steve was very proud of his 30-year career as a professional black car limousine driver. He drove numerous celebrities, dignitaries, actors, actresses, and TV personalities.  Steve was the biggest fan of The Golden Girls.

A family statement reads, “Steve had a heart of pure gold. He would light up any room with his humor. He loved everyone and to know him was to love him.”

Survivors include his loving partner Dennis V. Olin at home; brothers David Hoogstra of Warwick, NY and Brian Hoogstra of Scotchtown, NY; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Scott.

Graveside services will be announced for the spring.
