
Jacoba Pennings, of Warwick, passed away on March 8, 2012 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 88 years old.
Born on January 26, 1924 in Holland, she was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Tol) Van Duynhoven.
She was married to the late Joseph Pennings (2004).
A homemaker, Jacoba was the loving wife of a dairy farmer, a member of St. Stephens RC Church for many years, and a member of the Golden Seniors.
She is survived by her children: Simon Pennings and his wife Lisa of Greenville, John Pennings and his wife Rose of Walden, Joseph Pennings and his companion Christina Gust of Warwick, and Marie Ewanciw and her husband Peter of Greenville. She was the loving Oma to seven grandchildren: Lauren, Zachary, Rachel, Katie, Nicholas, Jared and Mark. She is also survived by her brothers Joseph Van Duynhoven and Jake Van Duynhoven, both of Warwick, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, John, Peit and Engel.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 11th, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday at St. Stephens RC Church followed by interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.
