Born on July 11, 1928 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of Robert Bruce Arthur and Helen Charlotte Schmischke Arthur.
He was the husband of Gloria Puccio Arthur.
Mr. Arthur was the Manager of North American Rice in Blackston, VA and formerly worked for Mechanical Rubber Co. in Warwick. He was best known for his baseball playing in Warwick and pitched for Warwick Softball for many years. He was named “Most Valuable Player” in 1967. He was a founder and a coach for 16 years with Warwick Little League and a founder and drum instructor for Queens Village, Queens, NY.
He was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; a daughter, Linda Arthur of Warwick; two granddaughters: Helen Avery of Norfolk, VA and Leanne Arthur of New Buffalo, MI; two great-grandchildren: Tyler and Matthew. He was predeceased by a son, Bruce D. Arthur.
