M. Bernice Scott, of Warwick, passed away on March 24, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion. She was 90 years old.
Born on December 12, 1923 in Brighton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Johanna (Morrison) Farrell.
She was married for 65 years to George Scott, Jr.
Bernice was formerly a Secretary at St. Stephens RC Church in Warwick, where she was a very active member. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters and the Sodality Society. She also volunteered at St. Anthony Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, George, Jr. of Warwick; her four sons: George Scott III of Warwick, Thomas Scott of Piscataway, NJ, Kevin Scott and his wife Linda of Harrison, NY, and Brian Scott and his wife Patricia of Middletown; also survived by eight grandchildren: Douglas Scott, Stephanie Varnum, Jennifer Harmon, Matthew Scott, Adrianne Scott, Lauren Scott, Briana Scott and Julia Foppiano; and six great-grandchildren: Emily, Leah, Mallory, Ainslie, Alexander and Harper.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 26th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
