a lifelong resident of Warwick, passed away on November 25, 2010 at Arden Hill Hospital.  She was 102 years old.

Born on August 5, 1908 in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Augustus C. and Jessie (Horton) Royce.

She was married to the late Edward M. Ward (1979).

Mrs. Ward formerly worked for Mechanical Rubber Company in Warwick and a former member of the Warwick Seniors

A family statement reads: “A hard worker and a wonderful, caring person, Olive was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She always remembered birthdays with a card and always sent holiday cards, including this year’s which are ready to be mailed.  She will be deeply missed.”

She is survived by a daughter, Janet Papaceno and her husband Charles of Warwick,

a son, Edward Martin Ward, Jr. and his wife Helene of Howells;  eight grandchildren:  Edward Ward,  Cheryl Bardhi and husband Ahmet, Allison Manuel, JoAnn Catlin and husband Bert, Eugene Sale, Pamela Race and husband Ed, Charles Papaceno, and Arthur Papaceno and wife Alice;  thirteen great-grandchildren: Jessica James and husband Darin, Erica Catlin and companion Galeet Cohn, Gared Sale, Jasmine Sale, Brianna Bardhi, Zaid Bardi, Larissa Ward, Dylan Ward, Tiffany Doering and husband Adam, Brittany Manuel, Cosmo Papaceno,  Nichole Papaceno, and Augustus Papaceno;  two great-great grandchildren, Siera Doering and Dylan James; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Warwick Cemetery.
