of Warwick, passed away on May 22, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. He was 77 years old.
Born on May 6, 1934 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Gustave J. Reder, Sr and Delia Markert Reder.
A family statement reads: “Gustave survived 41 years in Warwick as a Cleveland Browns fan. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.”
He was a Dispatcher with Greyhound Bus Company in New York City. He was a volunteer at St. Anthony ’s Hospital, a member of the Knights of Columbus, 2nd degree, a member of Warwick Valley Senior Citizens, and a parishioner of St. Stephens RC Church.
He is survived by his son, John Reder and his wife Mariquit of PA; two daughters: Regina Carhart and her husband Steve of Stanhope, NJ and Joan Clauson and her husband Nial of Guilderland, NY; three grandchildren: Tyler and Austin Carhart and Cameron Clauson; a sister, Margaret Wichrowski of Saratoga Springs, NY.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 23rd, from 3:00-7:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Mt. Alverno Chapel, 20 Grand St., Warwick.
