
Marilyn T. Battipede, of Warwick, passed away on June 3, 2014 at St Anthony Community Hospital. She was 80 years old.
Born on October 24, 1933 is New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bessie (Oliveri) Badik.
She was married to Alfred Battipede.
A homemaker, Marilyn was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus in Ramsey, NJ. She was also an avid bowler. Marilyn was most known for her fabulous cooking and love for her family.
She is survived by her husband Alfred, of Warwick; her children: Cynthia Kooy and her husband Perry of Warwick, Chuck Battipede and his wife Lori of San Jose, CA, Celeste Prell and her husband John of Warwick, Karen Battipede of Warwick, and Robert Battipede and his wife Tricia of Butler, NJ; eighteen grandchildren: Jessica, Ryan, Christopher, Michael, Kevin, Ricky, Anthony, Sophia, Joey, Danielle, Matthew, Brian, Sean, John, Luis, Alfred, Thomas and Bobby; and two great-grandchildren: Ashton and Grant. She is also survived by a sister, Vivian Murphy, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 6th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Saturday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in St. Stephens Cemetery.
