Frank J. Martone

of Warwick (formerly of Rosedale, Queens) died at home on August 31, 2007.  He was 74 years old.

 

Born on August 20, 1933 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Andrew and Rosalie Morello Martone.

 

He was the husband of Anita Leon Martone.

 

Mr. Martone served with the US Army during the Korean War.   He was a Dispatcher with ITT World Communications, New York City, and later worked with Empire Ambulance, Brewster, NY.  He was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.

 

A family statement read: “He loved horse racing and sports.”

 

He is survived by his wife, Anita Martone of Warwick; three daughters:  Rosalie Martone and her husband Mike Pistasio, of Warwick, Julienne Martone, of Brookline, MA and Laura Martone and her husband Scott Wood of Sparkes, NV; six grandchildren:  Alexis, Joseph, Meredith, Jessica, Brandon and Tim.

 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 4th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Wednesday at St. Stephens RC Church.  Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery. 

 

Memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
