Born on November 1, 1916 in Tarnow, Poland, she was the daughter of Jozef Szabatowska and Stanislawa Mirek.
She was married to the late Adolf J. Zajac (2005).
Mrs. Zajac was a Building Service Worker with Prudential in New York City before retiring. She was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.
A family statement reads: “She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.”
She is survived by her daughters: Helen Cannone and her husband Anthony of Middletown, and Krystyna Puccio and her husband Carmelo of Old Tappan, NJ; her grandchildren: Adrienne Quinn of Warwick, Christina Mc Cauley of Middletown, Gregory Puccio, Alexander Puccio and Benjamin Puccio, all of Old Tappan; her great-grandchildren: Sean Quinn, Kathryn Quinn , Grayson Quinn and Christopher
Mc Cauley; a sister, Stanislawa in Poland.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 26th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Saturday at St. Stephens RC Church. Interment will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
