72, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, August. 3, 2006 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick, NY.

Born on Dec. 4, 1933 in New Milford, NY she was the daughter of the late Hezekiah Howell Lord and Dorothy Vealey Lord. 

Evelyn was secretary  with the Warwick Valley Dispatch.  She formerly worked for many years as a secretary for Mechanical Rubber Company, Warwick.  She was a member of the New Milford United Methodist Church, where she served as organist and Sunday School teacher for many years. She also volunteered her time to play at the former Orange County Infirmary.

She is survived by her brother,  Clinton Lord and his wife Barbara of Middletown;  her sister-in-law, Tina Lord of Warwick;  seven nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, Milton Lord.

Friends may call from 3-6 on Sunday, August 6th,  at  Lazear-Smith and Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick, NY. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday at the New Milford United Methodist Church, 5 Jockey Hollow Road, New Milford, NY 10959. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, NJ.
