Charles Gilmore

Born on July 11, 1930 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late James and Rose Gilmore. Charles was raised by his foster parents, the late Irma and Philip Loughlin.
He was married to Ilene (Egbert) Gilmore for 54 years.
Mr. Gilmore was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, and earned his Master’s degree from the University of Utah. He worked as an Engineer with Con Edison in New York City.
Preceded in death by two sons, Christopher and Gregory, he is survived by his wife, Ilene Gilmore of Warwick; his son, Thomas Gilmore and his wife Christine of East Hanover, NJ; two grandchildren: Sara Ortu and her husband Peter of Fredericksburg, VA, and Jeffrey Gilmore of East Hanover, NJ; a foster brother, Thomas Loughlin, and several foster cousins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24th, from 7:00-9:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday at the funeral home, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
