Aron John Blum

Aron John Blum, of Warwick, passed away on November 25, 2015 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick.  He was 66 years old. 

Born on October 14, 1949 in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Frederick Simon Blum and Grace Prentice Porter. 

Aron served with the US Navy on the USS Saratoga during the Vietnam War.  A train enthusiast, he was a self-employed train salesman.  He was a very talented artist and photographer.  Aron had numerous lifetime friends, and was as politically astute as any commentator.  He was a quintessential New Yorker, who knew every street, neighborhood and method of transportation. 

He is survived by his former wife, Beverley Blum of Austin, TX;  his daughter, Andrea Gaspard and her husband Jeffery of Humble, TX;  his beloved grandson, Simon; and a sister Lenore Lewis of Oak Park, CA.

Memorial visitation will be on Tuesday, December 1st, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.
