of New Hampton, (formerly of Warwick) passed away on November 11, 2008 at Arden Hill Hospital, Goshen. He was 84 years old.
Born on June 16, 1924 in Warwick, he was the son of the late Allan A. Linton and Lenora Keegan Linton.
He was married to Lucia M. Myers Linton.
An Army veteran, Mr. Linton served during World War II and was a 50 year member of the American Legion Post #214, Warwick. He was a Senior Systems Operator with Orange & Rockland, Spring Valley, NY.
A family statement reads: “He was a great father and grandfather, had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a man who was happy to be home surrounded by his family.”
He is survived by his wife, Lucia M. Linton of New Hampton: his daughter, Cheryl Dombroski of New Hampton; his son, Kevin Linton of Shamong, NJ; five grandchildren: Eric, Heather, Adam, Andrew and Alyssa; brothers: Stanley Linton and his wife Carolyn of Warwick, Donald Linton and his wife Maxine of Wurtsboro, and Norman Linton of Warwick. He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Barlow and a brother, Elwood Linton.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 14, from 10:00-11:00 am at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
