
Agnes M. Lippi, of Honesdale, PA, passed away on September 17, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Greenwood Lake.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary O’Connor Wood.
She was married to the late George A. Lippi (2011).
A homemaker, Agnes formerly worked for a bank in New York City in the city’s first skyscraper. She was a parishioner of St. Ann’s RC Church in Shohola, PA and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of EMT’s in Lackawaxen, PA.
A family statement reads: “A grandmother to everyone who met her, she would love to have you in for tea and listen to Frank Sinatra. She enjoyed gardening in her yard.”
She is survived by her son, George Lippi of Greenwood Lake; her daughters: Agnes Lippi Johnson and her husband Michael of Honesdale, PA and Fern Parent and her husband Gus Benjou of Greenwood Lake; and her two brothers, John Wood of Mattituck, NY and Joseph Wood of Lords Valley, PA; ten grandchildren: Jessica Kelly, Georgia Brown, Sumara Shaw, Jessica Thomas, Alicia Lore, Samantha Parent, Veronica Benjou, Lora Benjou, Alexandra Lippi and George Lippi III; five great-grandchildren: Joseph Lippi, Marc Shaw, Jr., Liana Shaw, Kaden Brown and Alyvia Lore. She was predeceased by a son, Francis Lippi and brothers, Eugene Wood and Francis Wood.
Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 20th, at Holy Rosary RC Church, 41 Windemere Ave, Greenwood Lake, NY.
