
John P. McGlone of Warwick, NY passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2018. He was 49 years old.
Born September 14, 1968 in New York City, NY to parents John and Sheilah (Henderson) McGlone.
John graduated from Warwick Valley High School.
Survivors include his mother, Sheilah; and sister, Bonnie-Jean of Warwick; his soulmate, Michele Rumfield of Pine Island; Fran Henderson of Warwick and several other family members.
He was predeceased by his father, John A. McGlone and his uncle, Patrick Henderson in 2010.
John was a social being and a free spirit with a big heart. He was a friend to people from all walks of life and was always available to offer a helping hand to those in need. He loved to drive and was a professional CDL truck driver, earning his passenger and Hazmat certifications. He was always exploring country roads and looking for the perfect “swimming holes,” appreciating the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley. He was passionate about Italian food and pizza and knew where to find the best slice in town. He loved music, especially “Rock” and attended many concerts with friends. He was a forever “KISS” fan. John loved all animals especially Ernie the cat. He will be remembered for always having a striking smile and an infectious laugh. He will be missed by many.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
