A family statement read: “Ken, Kenny or just “Blackie” was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who always was willing to lend a hand and had a solution for anything whether it was right or wrong. He was always heading in the right direction in all aspects of life, whether on the road or on the job site. As a surveyor, he worked on many different projects including the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge. As much as he loved these projects, what he loved more was creating a foundation that would be his legacy, the love for family. He felt his greatest gift in life was his wife of 44 years, Sharon, who has been a long time companion through life’s peaks and valleys. Ken’s devotion for Sharon during these times only strengthened their love and friendship for each other. Ken was known for his tinkering and if the hardware store didn’t have it, Kenny’s garage would! No matter how you knew Ken, he was a great man who will be missed by many.”
