of Warwick, passed away on September 18, 2008 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York City.
Born on March 8, 1944 in Cairo, GA, he was the son of Walter G. Thomas and Elizabeth Mitchell Thomas.
A stage and screen actor in soap operas and commercials, he was nominated for an Emmy award. He was best known for his role as Dr. Jack Garner in “The Doctors”, and he acted in the London Theater. He was also a singer and a song writer.
A family statement reads: “His children were his proudest accomplishment.”
He is survived by his son, Brendan Thomas and his daughter, Charlotte Thomas, both of Warwick, NY; the mother of his children, Karen E. Thomas; his brother, Walter (Guy) Thomas of Orlando, FL.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 22nd, from 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday at Warwick Cemetery.
