Margaret M. Maio, of Warwick (formerly of Milton, Delaware) passed away on June 15, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was 81 years old.
Born on May 12, 1931 in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Scott) Hoffman.
She was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband, Nicholas, through all the years.
“A warm and loving child of God, Margaret was a spiritual woman. Not only the most caring and loving Mother to her son Kenneth and late daughter Mandy, she was a best friend indeed. She devoted her life to her family. Strong-hearted and spiritually gifted, she gave of her love freely. She had the special gift of being a very talented artist. Her strong faith and spiritual beliefs have touched all of those who knew and loved her. In our hearts, she will forever live.”
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Maio of Calverton; her five beloved grandchildren: Kenneth Maio, Jr., Laura Davis, Wesley De Blanco, Olivia De Blanco and Nicholas De Blanco; four sisters: Maureen Murphy, Carol Reynolds, Pat Cerone and Kathy Romano. She was predeceased by a daughter, Margaret Mary De Blanco.
Private funeral arrangements were under the direction of Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick, NY 10990.
