Janet Papaceno, a 3rd generation Warwick resident, died on January 13, 2014 at Schervier Pavilion after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born on January 15, 1931 in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Olive (Royce) Ward.
Janet was a graduate of Warwick Valley High School. A homemaker, she was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Warwick and volunteered at the Migrant Day Care Center in Goshen, NY.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Papaceno of Warwick; a daughter, Pam Arace and her husband Edward of Warwick; two sons: Charles Papaceno of Dallas, TX and Arthur Papaceno and his wife Alice of McHenry, IL; three grandchildren: Cosmo Papaceno, Nichole Papaceno and Augustus Papaceno. She is also survived by a brother, Edward Ward and his wife Helene of Howells, NY, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Janet’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday at Warwick Cemetery.
