Margaret Katherine Eller (Peggy), of Warwick (formerly of Ridgewood, NJ), passed away on May 5, 2009 at Potomac Home for Alzheimer’s, Woodcliff Lake, NJ. She was 82 years old.
Born on January 1, 1927 in Ridgewood, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Finck and Fannie Kooistra Finck.
Mrs. Eller was an Artist and an Art Teacher at Veraldi Junior High School, Middletown, NY. She was a member of the Art Guild, the Historical Society of Warwick, the Humane Society, the Warwick Garden Club, and helped to initiate and organize Art in the Park in Middletown.
A family statement reads: “She loved her family, friends, home and gardens and everything about Warwick. She was proud to be a “Warwickian.” She had a marvelous dry sense of humor.”
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Melinda Eller and her husband David Wineberg of New York City and her companion, Raymond Campbell of Burlingham, NY; her sister-in-law, Evelyn Finck.. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Henry Finck and her former husband, Clinton Davis Eller.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, May 16, 2009, from 1:00-2:00 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick. Memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm.
