
Georgina Negron, of Warwick, (formerly of the Bronx), passed away on December 21, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Community Hospital. She was 74 years old.
Born on August 9, 1938 in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eduardo and Maria E. (Rosario) Charleman.
She was married to Jose A. Negron.
Before retiring, Georgina was an Office Associate at Lincoln Hospital, Bronx. She was a member of St. Stephens Church, Warwick.
A family statement reads: “Devoted to her family – the matriarch in a strong line of women - she was always there to lend a hand and her house. She was a passionate and strong person and a surrogate mother to many.”
She is survived by her husband, Jose A. Negron of the Bronx; a daughter, Laura Mangual and her husband Edwin of Florida, NY; a son, Adam Negron and his wife Anna of Goshen; a granddaughter, Morgan Mangual; a brother, Joseph Charleman of Port St. Lucie, FL; a brother-in-law, John Mercado; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Fernando Negron.
Visitation will be on from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday, December 26th, at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick. Funeral Mass will be at 10am on Thursday at St. Stephens RC Church, followed by interment in Warwick Cemetery.
